The tally of the May 18, 1999 primary election,
showed that Robert D. Schellhaas Sr. was the top
vote-getter. He had died exactly one month earlier,
on April 18, 1999.

This is not meant to disparage Robert
Schellhaus in any way, or to diminish his many
accomplishments in public life, but rather to show what
seems to be overt opportunism on the part of the Autocratic

people, he was appointed to the Water Authority
Board.

Many elderly senior citizens are in elected
posts. It will be interesting to see how many times this
same ploy will be used to undermine the ability of the
citizens of West View to have a vote in determining who
serves them as council members.

...speaking of seniors, when Bill Wunderly
retires will Dan Daugherty replace him to become Chairman of
the Board at West View Water?
(as rumors circulating as of April, 2001
suggest)

..........and which one
of the "connected" will take over the helm at the West View
